When we rely on legitimate interest, we have weighed our interest against your privacy. You can always object, see Your rights.
Data we process for our customers
Our customers use LinkedClient to find and contact the people they want to sell to. For that data, such as names, job titles, companies, public profile information, contact details and messages, the customer is the data controller. LinkedClient processes it on the customer’s behalf, as a data processor, under our agreement with them.
If a company contacted you through LinkedClient and you want to know what data they hold, or want it deleted, please contact that company. If you contact us instead, we will pass your request on and help them answer it.
Google and Microsoft account data
When you connect a Google or Microsoft account, we only access what the features you use need:
- Email (Gmail or Outlook): we send the emails you or Elsie write on your behalf, and read the emails in your conversations with your contacts, so Elsie can track replies and help you answer them.
- Calendar: we read your events to find free times, and add the meetings Elsie books.
- Profile: your name and email address, to link the account to your LinkedClient account.
We use this data only to provide and improve these features for you. We do not sell it or use it for advertising, and nobody at LinkedClient reads it unless you ask us to (for example in a support case), it is needed for security, or the law requires it.
LinkedClient’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can remove our access at any time in the app, in your Google account or in your Microsoft account settings.
AI features
Elsie uses AI language models to research contacts and write messages. To do that, the data a task needs, such as a contact’s public profile, your sales profile and the conversation so far, is processed by AI service providers acting as our processors, under data processing agreements, only to deliver the feature you use.
You decide how much Elsie does on her own, and you can approve every message before it is sent. We do not make decisions about you based only on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We only share it with:
- Service providers who process data for us: cloud hosting for the platform, website hosting (WordPress.com), email and calendar (Google Workspace), AI services, card payments, customer support tools and partner referral tracking. They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
- Analytics and advertising partners (Google, LinkedIn and Meta), only if you accept the relevant cookies.
- The partner who referred you, if you signed up through a partner’s link, so their commission can be calculated.
- Advisers and authorities: our accountants, auditors and lawyers, and authorities when the law requires it.
- A buyer of our business, if LinkedClient is sold or merged. We will tell you if that happens.
A current list of the service providers that process personal data for us is available on request.
Transfers outside the EU
We aim to store and process personal data within the EU/EEA. Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA, for example in the United States. When that happens, we make sure the transfer is protected, for example by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use:
- Necessary cookies that make the website and the platform work, for example to keep you logged in. These do not need consent.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager, and WordPress.com statistics) to understand how the website is used.
- Marketing cookies (LinkedIn Insight Tag and Meta Pixel) to measure our ads and show relevant ads.
- Embedded content, such as Trustpilot reviews and Wistia videos, which may set their own cookies.
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out add-on, and manage the ads you see in your LinkedIn and Meta account settings.
How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, as shown in the table above. When that period ends, we delete or anonymise it. Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- get a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- have incorrect data corrected
- have your data deleted
- restrict how we use your data
- receive your data in a machine-readable format
- object to processing based on legitimate interest, and always to direct marketing
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing before that
To use your rights, email support@linkedclient.com. We reply within one month. Every marketing email also has an unsubscribe link.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, imy.se) or to the data protection authority where you live. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Security
We protect personal data with technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, access limited to the people who need it, and regular reviews of our systems. Customers are responsible for keeping their own log-in details safe.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters for customers, we tell them by email or in the app.
LinkedClient is a service for businesses and is not intended for children.
